California Supreme Court heard challenge to Sheriff Chad Bianco’s seizure of 650,000 ballots

The California Supreme Court heard arguments over whether Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco must return roughly 650,000 ballots and 1,000 boxes seized while he was running for governor. Bianco says he was investigating fraud after a measure passed by about 80,000 votes; the state says he had no authority to take the ballots.
