Immigrant-rights group sues DHS and DOJ to stop federal database checks of voter rolls

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights asked a court to halt the checks. Its complaint says the databases hold old or wrong data. That bad data would flag naturalized citizens as ineligible to vote, the group says. It also says Congress never approved the program. Executive director Angelica Salas called it "voter intimidation."
