The NTSB gave its first account Monday, Sept. 7. The freighter touched down far down the runway and ran 1,300 feet past the pavement. It hit a van holding seven cleaning workers, broke the airport fence and struck an SUV on a public road. Five people on the ground died and five were hurt. Both pilots were cut out of the cockpit alive. Chairwoman Jennifer Homendy said it is too early to draw conclusions.
