ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox News had refused to fill CNN's slot after the White House barred CNN, MS NOW and Politico, and they kept that up until the pool's return. The fight is not over: that night, the White House left CNN off Air Force One for the next day's trip (see the update in this issue).
