President Trump on Wednesday threatened to authorize strikes against Iranian civilian infrastructure if the Islamic Republic continues to target vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. 'From this point forward, any time the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship, we're going to take out a bridge, we're going to take out a power plant,' Trump (Pres-R) said, explicitly naming targets in Tehran. The threat marks the latest escalation in a conflict that has already seen Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps strike a foreign commercial facility — Amazon's central data hub in Bahrain — with cruise missiles earlier this week.
