[UPDATE] Seattle police chief resigns four days after Bite of Seattle shooting
The city gave no reason for Shon Barnes’s departure after criticism of the department’s response.
Chief Shon Barnes resigned after the department waited nearly five hours to say whether the public remained at risk and the mayor incorrectly announced two arrests. Barnes was at a conference in Dallas during the shooting response.
