Book says UAE's bin Zayed warned Netanyahu of a coming Hamas attack 10 days before Oct. 7
Netanyahu's office says the call never happened.
UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and talked for 45 minutes. He warned that Yahya Sinwar was planning something big. Israeli reporters Shlomi Eldar and Ruth Yuval report the call. Netanyahu's office calls that account "an absolute lie." The UAE foreign ministry did not deny the call. It said only that the two countries share intelligence when needed.
What the reporting rests on:
- Authors cite three independent sources plus a recording and documents of the call.
- Netanyahu's office: he "did not speak with the president of the United Arab Emirates during the relevant period."
- No second outlet has independently confirmed the call.
