[UPDATE] Iran fires 20 missiles at a US base in Jordan; Jordan says it intercepted 18
The attack followed US strikes on five Iranian oil tankers on Tuesday, Sept. 8; one sank.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard (a branch of its armed forces) also claimed attacks on two US vessels and eight oil tankers near the Strait of Hormuz.
