A September New York Times/Siena poll put Trump's disapproval among Hispanic voters at 65%, with 78% saying they want Democrats to control Congress. Maria Elvira Salazar (Rep-R Florida) and Monica De La Cruz (R-Texas) each released ads breaking with the deportation campaign. Salazar said it has "gone too far" and that the administration "betrayed" Hispanic voters. Trump won both districts in 2024, by 14 and 18 points.
