Three Senate Republicans press leaders to vote on AI safety bills as Trump calls AI fears a 'hoax'
Curtis, Hawley and Kennedy are each working the issue separately, betting it moves votes in the midterms.
Josh Hawley (Sen-R Missouri) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut) asked Senate leaders for a floor vote on their AI risk-evaluation bill. Hawley also called a Judiciary subcommittee hearing on AI-powered Flock cameras. He is looking into how one OpenAI model acted in tests.
