A new rotation of U.S. troops is already on its way to Lithuania

Vilnius is drafting multi-scenario evacuation plans following a drone shootdown near Belarus.

Gitanas Nauseda (President, Lithuania) said the new U.S. rotation is 'already on its way' to the Baltic NATO member, which borders the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.

Mindaugas Sinkevičius (Prime Minister, Lithuania) told the BBC that Vilnius drafted evacuation plans to move elderly residents out of cities, but pledged the country will 'fight back' rather than surrender.
NATO fighter pilots shot down a drone in Lithuanian airspace one week ago that entered from the direction of Belarus, drawing no comment from Moscow.
