Iran’s president says nuclear inspectors can return, but only under a new deal with the U.S.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told CBS's "Face the Nation" that inspections "can" be agreed "within the negotiations" with Washington. CBS says he rejected a return under the existing framework set after the U.S. quit the 2015 nuclear deal. He also called building nuclear weapons "haram" (forbidden) as a matter of belief. The interview was taped Friday, Sept. 25, before Trump rejected Iran’s Hormuz plan.
