FBI co-deputy director Andrew Bailey, who oversaw election investigations, resigns effective Oct. 2
He leaves about a year in, just over a month before the midterms.
Bailey, the former Missouri attorney general whose portfolio included the January FBI raid on Fulton County's election office, cites a return to his family in Missouri. Christopher Raia stays on as the other co-deputy under Director Kash Patel.
