Four major medical groups now urge a flu shot every year for everyone 6 months and older. The groups are the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. They are posting their proof that the shots are safe and that they work. It goes on an AMA site, SpreadTheFacts.org.
- Recommendations cover influenza, COVID-19 and RSV immunization
- CDC has issued no new fall guidance and directs clinicians to the prior year's flu recommendations
- AMA's Dr. Sandra Fryhofer: "There's been a lot of confusion and chaos regarding vaccine recommendations."
