Vice President JD Vance said in a Monday, Oct. 19 interview on 2WAY Tonight that he is focused on American midterm candidates: "I'm not anti-endorsing him. I'm not pro-endorsing him. I'm not getting involved in Israeli elections." Politico notes he campaigned in Hungary in April for Viktor Orban, now a former prime minister, and says Vance's office had not responded when asked about the difference.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, Trump endorsed Netanyahu on Truth Social and wrote that if Israel has anyone else as leader, "America will have to do this work [in Iran] ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so," per Axios. Axios adds that most polls show Netanyahu's coalition short of the 61 seats needed to govern.
