Wedgewood, which raised donor money for crowd-funded polls, called its work a "social experiment" about vetting after FiftyPlusOne requested comment on Oct. 20. FiftyPlusOne says the raw data Wedgewood sent it a day earlier was fraudulent.
The polls and who cited them
- Among the Wedgewood polls in question: a June 22–24 Michigan Senate poll of 353 likely voters that showed Democrat Abdul El-Sayed leading Republican Mike Rogers 49–44.
- Francesca Hong (St Rep-D Wisconsin) is among the candidates who cited Wedgewood polls.
- FiftyPlusOne's G. Elliott Morris: "They are trying to cover up their fraud with the 'we were doing a social experiment' excuse."
