ICE detained deployed Navy sailor’s father after roughly 20 years in US

ICE arrested Luis Manuel Aviles Roa during a traffic stop in Key West while his son serves aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln on a nine-month Middle East deployment. DHS says the Nicaraguan immigrant, who has lived in the US for roughly 20 years, entered illegally and will remain detained during removal proceedings.
