House GOP conference chair backs Max Miller for reelection: "I support anybody with an R by their name"

Lisa McClain (Rep-R Michigan) said Max Miller (Rep-R Ohio) is "our nominee right now." Miller's ex-wife, Emily Moreno, filed for a restraining order on July 30. She said he threw boiling water at her. She said he pointed a gun at her. She also said he caused a broken clavicle and a bruise on their 2-year-old daughter. Moreno is the daughter of Bernie Moreno (Sen-R Ohio).

The rest of it:

• Three GOP senators — Katie Britt, Jim Banks and John Husted — have called on Miller to drop out.
• Miller denies it all: "My former wife is engaging in a pattern of reporting incredible, serious and destructive allegations with absolutely no evidence."
• McClain's full line: "Listen, divorces are ugly... I support anybody with an R by their name."
