[UPDATE] Acton back campaigning day after armed man charged at her; Havas held on 3 counts

Amy Acton (D-OH) was back on the trail Monday, Sept. 7, a day after a man charged at her at the Canfield Fair. She was unhurt. "I am a fierce warrior in this fight," she said. Patrick Havas, 38, now faces disorderly conduct and two assault counts. He shoved through the crowd carrying two handguns, brass knuckles and a Taser. He never drew any of them, and carrying them is legal in Ohio, so no weapons charge was filed.

On Sept. 6 a man pushed through a crowd at the Canfield Fair toward Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Acton, knocking over several fairgoers, two of them on mobility scooters. Patrick Havas, 38, was arrested with two handguns and brass knuckles — legal to carry in Ohio — and held without bond.
