Trump posts AI maps renaming New Mexico 'New America'; he has no power to rename a state

Trump shared the AI-generated maps and videos on Truth Social after his Aug. 27 executive order renaming Lake Ontario 'Lake America,' but a state's name can only be changed by the state itself, not by executive order, and Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham (Gov-D New Mexico) answered, "You can't be serious. New Mexico is not for renaming. Not up for sale."
