Pentagon orders defense industry to wartime footing after US fired thousands of missiles in Iran war

The Pentagon has ordered the defense industry onto a "wartime footing" to rebuild stockpiles after the U.S. fired thousands of long-range precision-guided missiles in the war's early days, CBS News reported — an effort it reports will cost billions of dollars and take years of manufacturing. The Iran war is in its seventh month.

Centcom commander Adm. Brad Cooper, the officer running the Iran war, told 60 Minutes he is "not concerned at all" about U.S. munitions inventories.
