Justice Department subpoenas Brennan for Oct. 15 testimony in Florida grand conspiracy probe
Signed by prosecutor Joe diGenova on the day he quit, it names former CIA Director John Brennan a subject in Florida while he remains a target in the D.C. probe over 2023 congressional testimony. The Florida probe is examining whether former officials broke the law in the 2016 Trump-Russia investigation. The testimony at issue dates to 2023 — near the five-year federal limit on false-statement charges.
Brennan's lawyers asked Judge Jia Cobb on Monday, Sept. 14 for a preservation order to support a vindictive-prosecution defense.
