[UPDATE] Pentagon watchdog says Iran war cost $33.4 billion through June 30, caused munitions shortfall
The inspector general's tally also counts $184 million in damage to U.S. diplomatic sites in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump deny any shortage.
