Nine fired FBI staffers who worked the Trump classified-documents case sue to get their jobs back

The suit names the FBI, the Justice Department, FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Todd Blanche.

The nine agents, analysts and specialists sued in D.C. federal court, alleging they were fired without due process as political retribution.

What the complaint alleges:

  • The complaint runs 70 pages and covers more than 100 years of combined FBI service.
  • On Feb. 23, agent Miles Starr pulled the "Plasmic Echo" case file at Patel's direction. Eight plaintiffs were fired Feb. 25 and the ninth Feb. 26, per the Washington Examiner.
  • The suit says Patel pulled the file days after Trump criticized a viral video of Patel partying with the U.S. Olympic hockey team.
