Two anonymous women sue Matt Gaetz and two Florida allies in federal court, alleging sex trafficking

The civil suit's claims track the House Ethics report that sank his attorney general nomination.

The 38-page complaint, filed in Orlando federal court, says Gaetz, Joel Greenberg and former Florida state Rep. Chris Dorworth coordinated payments, drugs and travel to get sex from the women in 2017-2019.

Key details:

  • Greenberg, a Gaetz associate, is serving an 11-year federal prison sentence.
  • Washington Examiner reports Gaetz paid the plaintiffs for sex.
  • Gaetz: "I look forward to taking the plaintiffs' depositions because much of the conduct alleged against me is false."
