Notable results: Canada moved from U.S. 57% / China 14% in 2023 to U.S. 33% / China 44% in 2026. Mexico registered China 59% / U.S. 40%. The United States still led in India, Japan, the Philippines and South Korea.

Pew surveyed 42,151 adults across 36 countries between Feb. 8 and May 13, 2026. China led the U.S. on favorability in 25 of them; the U.S. led in six.
