Her partner and brother filed two suits in Minnesota federal court on Thursday, Oct. 1, one against the United States and one accusing 17 officials and agents of a civil-rights conspiracy.

ICE officer Jonathan Ross shot Good, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen, on Jan. 7 during Operation Metro Surge; the complaint says each of his three shots broke DHS's own use-of-force policy.
The conspiracy suit names Ross, Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem and Tom Homan among its defendants and rests on the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871; neither suit names a dollar figure.
The White House said it will "vigorously defend" the claims; Homan said, "I wish Renee Good was alive today."
