Michigan's Democratic Senate nominee resisted pressure from Senate Democrats to cut ties with the streamer.

Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) said he wants to offer Piker's audience "a pathway into an electoral movement." It would be a path that "disavows the things that I disagree with," he said. He spoke weeks after about 400 Jewish Michigan Democrats signed a letter backing his Republican opponent, Mike Rogers (R-MI). Major donors were among them.
