[UPDATE] Trump blamed the Fed and trade partners after the 162,000-job August report, as the 10-year yield hit 4.79%
Hiring nearly tripled forecasts, and stocks fell on inflation worries.
Employers added 162,000 jobs in August against 65,000 expected, and unemployment held at its July level. Trump did not claim credit. He used his Oval Office remarks to attack the Fed and trade partners over inflation and the 10-year Treasury yield, which climbed after stocks fell Friday, Sept. 4. "Success does not cause inflation. Stupidity causes inflation."
