Judge sets deadline for AG Todd Blanche on Epstein files, warns of contempt

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan gave Attorney General Todd Blanche until Sept. 24 to turn over Epstein records covered by his earlier orders — handwritten FBI interview notes and foreign-language materials the Justice Department said it could not produce — or explain why the orders were not “clear and unambiguous.” If DOJ misses the deadline, Sullivan warned in a Wednesday, Sept. 16 opinion, contempt proceedings could follow.
