UK police arrest a sixth suspect, a 27-year-old UK-Iranian national, over Sept. 27's RAF Fairford incident
Counter-terror police held him in Westminster on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts at the U.S.-used air base.
The first five suspects are out on bail. They are British men in their 20s, arrested near the base on Sunday, Sept. 27. "I wouldn't have done," Trump said of the bail decision. Police found gasoline but no explosives in three linked vans.
Who says Iran is behind it:
- Prime Minister Andy Burnham cites "strong indications" of Iranian involvement; Iran denies it.
- DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin said the U.S. "knew" Iran or its proxies would try to hit a U.S. asset in the UK.
- Secretary of State Marco Rubio joined Trump in criticizing the bail for the first five suspects.
