Ex-FBI analyst alleges Trump ordered a probe of LA-area anti-ICE protesters after watching a TikTok
Emil Bove, then the acting deputy attorney general, ordered a second probe of protests outside federal buildings, she says.
Jill Fields, a former supervisory intelligence analyst in the FBI's Los Angeles office, says in a whistleblower complaint that Trump told FBI Director Kash Patel in February 2025 to investigate protesters in Alhambra, Calif., after seeing a TikTok of them using megaphones to warn neighbors that immigration agents were nearby. Alex Padilla (Sen-D California) released the complaint. The White House calls the allegations "false."
What else the complaint says:
- Some agents on a new immigration squad were pulled off active cartel cases to do the work.
- Emil Bove, then the acting deputy attorney general, ordered a second probe, of protests outside federal buildings.
