ProPublica documents 506 US citizens detained by immigration agents since January 2025

ProPublica, a nonprofit newsroom, built a case-by-case catalog of 506 US citizens whom immigration agents stopped, restrained or held since January 2025, the start of Trump's second term. Some were held at gunpoint. The citizenship stops. More than 100 were held after agents questioned whether they were citizens, and nearly all of those were people of color. The charges. Of the more than 300 accused of assaulting or obstructing agents, fewer than half were charged in federal court.
