Susan Collins and Troy Jackson clash on court picks, health care, ICE and tariffs in first Maine debate

Susan Collins (Sen-R Maine), 73, is seeking a sixth term against Democrat Troy Jackson, who became the nominee after Graham Platner withdrew.

The race:

• Jackson is a former logger and former state lawmaker.
• Tariff exchange: Collins said she got "road salt removed from the Canada tariff list"; Jackson replied, "What about everything else? We can't eat road salt."
