Michigan Senate candidates El-Sayed and Rogers trade personal attacks in their first debate
Georgia's Senate candidates also met for their first debate the same night.
Abdul El-Sayed (D-MI) and Mike Rogers (R-MI) clashed over Israel, the Iran war and health care, a day after Trump called El-Sayed "Mohammed" and a "Terrorist Sympathizer" on Truth Social.

- El-Sayed is being outspent on ads by nearly 2-to-1 (PBS NewsHour).
- Rogers lost the 2024 Michigan Senate race to Elissa Slotkin by just under 20,000 votes (PBS NewsHour).
