Musk has given $276 million to Republican midterm groups since July, the most of any known donor

His America PAC confirmed the figures, first reported by the New York Times.

That brings his total for the cycle to about $366 million, already above the roughly $290 million he spent in the 2024 presidential cycle (CNBC, citing the New York Times figures), even though Musk said of political spending in May 2025, "I think I've done enough."

Where the $276 million went:

  • $158 million to the Senate Leadership Fund, the main GOP Senate super PAC, and $20 million to the GOP House super PAC.
  • $76 million to his own America PAC, which runs a turnout operation.
  • $10 million to Lone Star Liberty PAC, which backs Ken Paxton for Senate in Texas, plus $10 million to the Republican Governors Association and $2 million to the Republican Attorneys General Association.
