[UPDATE] Pentagon official says Hasan's Dec. 3 execution will still be livestreamed despite growing GOP objections
Trump privately told a confidant the stream "might not happen."
"The Secretary is correct. It will be livestreamed," a War Department official told the Washington Examiner on Monday, Oct. 12, though Trump told a confidant the stream "might not happen" (Axios). Mike Johnson (Rep-R Louisiana), the House speaker, warned the video could become "a recruiting tool for future terrorists." Timothy Broglio, the Catholic archbishop for the U.S. military, told Catholic soldiers to ask to be excused from the firing squad.
